Troubleshooting

The panel does not appear in the Content Manager.

Check that the content type is switched on in Settings → Content types, that your role has the Read permission, and that you rebuilt the admin after installing (npm run build).

No new version is recorded.

Look for a licence banner at the top of the Revisionary page. Then check, in Content types, that the source of the change (REST API, GraphQL…) is not turned off.

Notification links point to localhost.

Set the public address of Strapi in the url of config/server.ts, or in REVISIONARY_PUBLIC_URL. The notifications settings show the address in use.

The test email does not arrive.

Revisionary sends through the Strapi email plugin. Check its provider settings, and that your account has an email address.

Slack says users_not_found.

The Slack app cannot find the person by email. Their Strapi and Slack email addresses must match, and the app needs the users:read.email scope.

Someone left and the entry stays locked.

A lock is released once its holder shows no sign of life for the delay set in Collaboration (2 minutes by default). The next person then takes over on their own.

Old versions disappeared.

The nightly cleanup removes autosaves past their retention, and versions beyond a per-entry limit. Named and published versions are never removed. Every cleanup is recorded in the audit log.
