Compare Strapi versions field by field

A version is only useful if you can see what it changed. Revisionary compares versions field by field and highlights each difference, so a reviewer reads a change instead of hunting for it.

Field-level differences

Text is compared word by word. Relations, media and components are compared item by item, nested components and dynamic zones included. Removed text is struck through in red and added text is underlined in green, so a difference never depends on colour alone.

Two layouts, from the bar above the content:

• Inline mixes both versions in one column. Best for text.
• Side by side puts the old version on the left and the new one on the right. Best for long or heavily reworked entries.

The bar counts the changed fields. Jump from one change to the next with the arrows, or with N and P.

Compare any two versions

By default a version is compared with the current entry. To compare two past versions, pick a base and a target in the list, or hold Shift while you click two points of the timeline.

Images

When an image changed, the old and the new one are shown together: with a slider, a fade, or side by side. Revisionary remembers the mode you prefer.

One field, or one sentence

Hover any field and click the clock icon to see every value that field has had. And to find a sentence that has since been removed, search inside the content of every version.
